Strike options limited for Speed

Sheffield United manager Gary Speed has limited striking options for the South Yorkshire derby against Barnsley. Daniel Bogdanovic serves the second game of a three-match ban after his sending off in the 3-2 win over Crystal Palace and Richard Cresswell is also unavailable as he starts his three-match ban following his dismissal in the loss at Bristol City. Jamie Ward is doubtful with an Achilles injury and Darius Henderson is also occupying the sidelines through injury, which leaves Ched Evans the only striking option at Speed's disposal. Speed could hand on-loan Wolves defender Danny Batth his debut in defence after he signed for the Blades on loan deadline day while defender Chris Morgan (knee) and Lee Williamson (back) are still ruled out. Andy Reid, who extended his loan with United until the New Year, is set to continue in midfield.
