Steer hails "amazing" fans
Sheffield United chairman Chris Steer has saluted the fans following the sale of nearly 10,000 season-tickets for the 2011/12 campaign.
Micky Adams' side appear to be on course for the third tier next season, currently bottom of the table with only four games left to make up an eight-point gap between them and safety.
Steer said: "We've had great support throughout this disappointing season and will receive great support again next season.
"To sell just under 10,000 season tickets for next season before deadline day is nothing short of amazing. Our loyal support makes me very proud to be a Blade."
