Sheffield United could be unchanged for visit of MK Dons

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder could decide to retain his previous starting line-up for the home game against MK Dons.

Wilder has no new injury or suspension problems following last week's 3-3 draw at promotion rivals Bradford and said changes were unlikely.

Defender Jack O'Connell returned to the bench last week following illness, while midfielder Stefan Scougall is also pushing for a recall and Harry Chapman is still waiting for his first league start.

Striker Caolan Lavery is edging closer to his first start for the club after he stepped off the bench for the final 20 minutes at Bradford as the Blades bid to extend their unbeaten league run to 11 matches.

Sheffield-born former Wednesday and Rotherham striker Richie Barker will be in charge of the Dons following Karl Robinson's departure as manager.

He will have captain Dean Lewington available after he missed last weekend's 3-0 home defeat to Southend through suspension and the 32-year-old is expected to return at left-back.

Barker will also hope to have right-back George Baldock (hamstring) and striker Kieran Agard (knee) back in contention after they started training again this week, although the trip to Bramall Lane could come too soon for both players.

The Southend loss sealed Robinson's exit and Barker does have options should he wish to make further changes to that side, with the likes of Ed Upson, George Williams, Nicky Maynard and Brandon Thomas-Asante pushing for starting places, along with Lewington.
