Scougall set to return for Blades

Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough is expected to recall Stefan Scougall against Gillingham after he was rested in midweek.

Midfielder Scougall has recently returned from a knee injury and played no part in the midweek Capital One Cup win at Leyton Orient.

Fellow midfielder James Wallace is also in contention again as he works his way back to 100 per cent fitness following a groin injury and striker Michael Higdon will be hoping to retain his place in the starting line-up.

Winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce (calf) and forward Jose Baxter (hamstring) are not expected to feature.

Gillingham will remain without Stuart Nelson and Danny Kedwell for the trip to South Yorkshire.

Goalkeeper Nelson is back in full training following thumb ligament problems, though, and could soon be vying for the number one jersey alongside Stephen Bywater.

Kedwell has not played since August and is still some way off his comeback following a knee problem.

Manager Peter Taylor has kept the same starting line-up for two successive fixtures and, given the Gills have not lost in three games, he may elect to stick rather than twist.
