Miller's time has come

Sheffield United striker Shaun Miller is hoping to make his first league start since Boxing Day against Gillingham.

Miller started his first game since sustaining knee ligament damage against Scunthorpe at the end of last year in last week's FA Cup win at Colchester.

Forward partner Chris Porter is hoping to resume alongside Miller, but is struggling with a knock to his knee, while winger Febian Brandy sits out the second game of his four-match ban.

Winger/defender Aidy White will return to contention after being refused to permission to appear last week by parent club Leeds and goalkeeper George Long has been given special dispensation by England Under-21s coach Gareth Southgate to play.

New arrivals Elliott Hewitt and Craig Fagan are in contention for their Gillingham debuts.

Right-back Hewitt has joined on a one-month loan deal from Ipswich to provide cover for Michael Harriman, who misses out this weekend due to his international commitments with the Republic of Ireland's Under-21 squad.

Forward Fagan, meanwhile, has signed for the Kent club on a free transfer ahead of what is Peter Taylor's first match since being confirmed as Gillingham's permanent manager on a deal until the end of the season.

Danny Hollands and Leon Legge are available having missed last weekend's 1-1 FA Cup draw against non-league Brackley, but midfielder Charlie Lee serves a one-match suspension while Amine Linganzi (hamstring) again misses out.
