Done set for Blades bow

Sheffield United's new signing Matty Done is hoping to make his debut for the club against Colchester.

Done was denied his first start at the weekend due to an ankle knock but could be included in boss Nigel Clough's plans, while skipper Michael Doyle, Marc McNulty and Jamal Campbell-Ryce are all pushing for recalls.

Striker Michael Higdon is not expected to feature, midfielder Stefan Scougall remains sidelined with a knee injury and Ryan Flynn (Achilles) is doubtful after missing the weekend defeat at Gillingham.

The Blades, a point off the play-off places, have won only one of their last seven games in all competitions.

Colchester are bidding to extend their unbeaten league run on the road to five matches and boss Tony Humes is expected to select his side from an unchanged squad again.

Midfielder Elliott Hewitt serves the final game of his three-match ban and Humes must decide whether to recall Ben Gordon after he made way in Saturday's home defeat to Crewe for Sanchez Watt.

Striker Jack Marriott, on loan from Ipswich, stepped off the bench to score his first goal for the club on Saturday and is pushing for his first start.

But Chris Porter should resume up front after notching his second goal in three games since arriving on loan, while defender Frankie Kent (knee) remains sidelined.
