Freeman ready for Blades bow
Sheffield United's latest signing Kieron Freeman could make his debut in the home league game against Carlisle.
The Derby defender, signed on loan for a month, was an unused substitute in last weekend's FA Cup win against Charlton and boss Nigel Clough is expected to make changes as his side chase a 10th straight win in all competitions.
Clough, who made seven changes on Sunday, confirmed several of his players are carrying "bumps and bruises" following their quarter-final heroics and is expected to rotate his squad again.
Another Derby loanee, Ben Davies, strikers Chris Porter, Billy Paynter and Shaun Miller, plus defenders Terry Kennedy and Matt Hill are all in contention.
Carlisle are sweating on another injury to James Berrett.
The midfielder returned from a hamstring injury against Port Vale on Saturday, but had to go off during the second half with a thigh problem.
Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and midfielder Danny Redmond are available after extending their loan deals with the Cumbrians while youngster Charni Ekangamene, recalled by parent club Manchester United over the weekend, is back with the squad.
Matty Robson, Sean O'Hanlon and former Blade Paul Thirlwell are still on the sidelines.
