Poleon, 19 joined Danny Wilson’s Blades in February, initially until the end of the season – but following the dismissal of their manager Neil Warnock and the introduction of caretaker manager Neil Redfern have decided to recall the striker early.
He made seven appearances for United.
Meanwhile Erik Tonne has joined Norweagen Second Division club HamKam on loan.
