No fracture for Evans

Sheffield United expect striker Ched Evans to be fit for the start of pre-season training after it was confirmed he has not broken his ankle. The Blades' nine-goal leading scorer was stretchered off during Saturday's 2-2 derby draw with Barnsley and management initially feared he had suffered a break before X-rays confirmed otherwise. Manager Micky Adams said: "It's not as bad as first thought and although there is ankle ligament damage he will be ready to start pre-season on time." The Wales international had just returned to the side against Barnsley after missing the previous three games due to a knee injury.
