Naysmith joins Huddersfield

Gary Naysmith has declined new terms from Sheffield United and decided to make a switch to Huddersfield Town... Naysmith, 31, opted to turn down the Blades' offer and chose to agree terms with Lee Clark's Terriers. On the two-year deal at the Galpharm, Clark said: "Gary is a massive signing - we have worked very hard to get him. He has got real experience at the very highest level, but the big thing for me is that from the very first day I met him you can tell he still has unbelievable desire and ambition." United are now stuck with Andy Taylor and Jordan Stewart at left-back because of Naysmith's departure. The Scot appeared 79 times for the red and white wizards, but last season was short with only two games due to injury. The image used on this article is copyright to Action Images and SportBox.TV
