The stand-in captain made his 250th start for the Blades in Tuesday's 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest, which left United in seventh place and two points away from the top six.[LNB]But Montgomery, who missed out on promotion last season after defeat to Burnley in the play-off final, is determined to go one better this time around.[LNB]He told the club's official website: "Personally I have had a fantastic time here. I've come up through the ranks and been through good and bad times.[LNB]"It has been difficult recently, after coming so close last season, we have had a massive turnover of players.[LNB]"We are still around the top six, though, the manager (Kevin Blackwell) has worked hard and the lads that were here last season know what it takes to get into the play-offs - we must keep believing."[LNB][LNB]
