Jean-Francois hasn't appeared in a Blades shirt since the disastrous 3-2 defeat to Oldham Athletic last March which saw United succumbed a two-nil lead and see two players sent off; he was taken off due to a knee injury and has been sidelined ever since.
"Lecsinel reported back from France on Monday so hopefully he is edging closer to a return," Blades manager Danny Wilson told the club's official website; sufc.co.uk. "We're going to up his training programme in the next week or two and integrate him into some competitive action."
The Haiti international has completed the majority of his rehabilitation in France but has since returned to Shirecliffe and is expected to be back to full training next week.
