Life after Danny Wilson for Sheffield United?

15 April 2013 11:39

Much has been discussed concerning the ‘sacking’ of former Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson who was relieved from his duties last week. Academy coach Chris Morgan, a former player with Barnsley and the Blades has taken the reigns until the seasons end but who will be in charge come August?

At early stages many names will no doubt be thrown into the managerial hat; Bobby Davison (youth coach with Derby County) and Phil Parkinson (Bradford City) have been tipped early on whilst Chris Morgan himself and former favourable manager Neil Warnock too has seen their names amongst the list of candidates.

Its part and parcel of football that managers come and go, some are forgotten about and some are edged into the clubs history, personally I believe that Mr. Wilson should have been given an opportunity to prove his worth and his job be evaluated in the summer should promotion not be achieved. This wasn’t to be and has been thrown onto the managerial sack heap, but will no doubt find solitude on Soccer Saturday.
