Kenny suspension concerns PFA

Kenny failed a drugs test after a routine urine sample was found to contain traces of the banned substance ephedrine, but argued that an over-the-counter chest remedy was to blame. Despite accepting the player's explanation, an FA Regulatory Commission still ruled he should be suspended for nine months. John Bramhall, the PFA's assistant chief executive, told the Sheffield Star: "Paddy accepts he has certain responsibilities that he did not adhere to but equally WADA (the World Anti-Doping Authority) realises that these things can enter your body for means other than to be performance-enhancing. "That has been accepted to be the case in this instance. "We are waiting to receive the full written evidence detailing why they banned Paddy for that period before we can think about taking the matter any further."
