Weir, 43 has reportedly left his post as Everton Reserve Team Manager, following David Moyes transfer to Manchester United – Weir reportedly turned down the opportunity to join him at Old Trafford.
Following a series of talks, the late entry is set to be named as successor to Danny Wilson who was dismissed last April. Sheffield United FC have yet to make a statement but are (apparently) expected to make this announcement within the next 48 hours.
