Blades boss Danny Wilson will kick-start the pre-season campaign with a trip to non-leaguers Ilkeston Town on Wednesday, 18th July - they will then travel to the Mediterranean Island of Malta for a third successive year to play two unconfirmed fixtures before facing Rotherham United at their new; New York Stadium.
The Seaside Town of Morcambe will provide the back-drop to another warm up match on Saturday, 4th August at the Globe Arena. A home fixture on 7th August in penciled in, although no opposition has yet to be named and a day later a mixed side will travel to Matlock Town.
There are rumours that Sheffield Wednesday have approached the Blades on a possible friendly, though nothing has yet to be confirmed.
