Fortune delight at Blades bow

The 29-year-old signed a short-term deal with the Blades in September after proving his fitness having ruptured his Achilles while at Charlton last season.[LNB]It has been a long and hard road to recovery for Fortune but, with United themselves struck down by a host of injury problems, he walked out against Barnsley at Oakwell for his first start in over nine months.[LNB]"I am really pleased to get my debut out of the way. I have had to wait a while and it is a great feeling to be finally fit and ready," he told the club's official website.[LNB]"When I signed I knew the strength we already had in that position and they (Chris Morgan and Matthew Kilgallon) are two of the best defenders in the league.[LNB]"I just want to play games and it is a bit of a dream to have had the chance to get back out there and play again."[LNB][LNB]
