FA reject Williamson appeal

Sheffield United have failed in a bid to overturn Lee Williamson's four-match ban. The Blades submitted an appeal after the midfielder was sent off for a second time this season in Saturday's 3-0 defeat to Watford, but the Football Association have confirmed the decision of referee Dean Whitestone will stand. Adams told the Star: "Lee is going to miss four games. The red card was not overturned but at least they (the FA) did not add an extra match," he said. Darius Henderson was also sent off at Vicarage Road and will therefore be absent for this weekend's Yorkshire derby against Leeds.
