Ellis also confirmed that boss Kevin Blackwell could be set to offload one or two members of his playing staff with central defender Leigh Bromby set to join Leeds United on Monday. Ellis said: "We would like to do something and we will keep trying until the deadline. The manager said that even if we decrease the size of the squad we will only bring in quality where we can. "We are not desperate. There are two or three players out through injury, including Gary Naysmith, but Glen Little should be fit for consideration in two week's time." On the matter of Bromby's departure, Ellis added: "Leigh is still here, he's a good pro but he's at the stage in his career where he would rather be playing games than sat on the bench. There has been interest in him."
