Doyle, 30 will lead out the Blades as captain and is expected to anchor in midfield for this weekends League One Play-Off Final with Huddersfield Town.
The former Coventry City and Leeds United man has revealed that he plans to upset critics who believe that United will once again fail on the big stage.
“I know people didn’t fancy us going into the play-offs. A lot thought this game would be Stevenage v MK Dons.
Don’t get me wrong, missing out on automatic promotion hurt. But we’ve shown we can win games and pick ourselves up. We’ve shown character and spirit.” Said Doyle.
