The Blades extended their unbeaten league run to seven matches with victory at Cardiff on Sunday and are six points behind second-placed Birmingham with a game in hand. Halford, on a season-long loan from Sunderland, said: "I said from day one here that we have the best squad in the division and I'm convinced that we will finish in the top two." The former Reading and Colchester full-back also added he held no grudge against manager Blackwell following his first-half substitution at Cardiff. Halford added: "He had his reasons and spoke to me straight away. I had already got a yellow card and he thought the referee may look to send one of our players off if the chance came. "I was an easier target if that was the case and no doubt he was thinking about the next game. It hurt at the time, but I will take it on the chin and focus on Ipswich."
