Sheffield United winger Jordan Chapell has joined struggling League Two side Torquay United on loan until the end of the season.

Chapell, 21 was on loan at Burton Albion earlier in the season after he seems to struggle to gain a first team place, he made his league debut for United in a 3-2 home defeat to Hartlepool United as well as making other appearances in League Cup, FA Cup and Johnstones Paint Trophy.

"Jordan is quick, direct and the important part is that he knows the league," Torquay boss Alan Knill told torquayunited.com. "I live in Sheffield and when the United youth-team had a good cup run, I watched a lot of their games and Jordan was one of the outstanding players. It gives us another forward option and when you bring in new players, it freshens training and makes it more competitive."

He is likely to feature against Southend United (at Roots Hall) this weekend as the Gulls battle against the drop, they are currently two points clear of the trap door with nine games remaining.
