Blades snap up Simonsen
Sheffield United have completed the signing of former loanee Steve Simonsen on a two-year contract.
The 31-year-old, who recently left Stoke on a free transfer, played seven games for the Blades during a successful loan spell at the back end of last season.
Manager Kevin Blackwell told the club's official website: "It is very hard replacing a top class goalkeeper but I think we have done that. Last season he not only impressed the players and the staff but also the fans which is important.
"We dropped points early on through being caught unawares but Steve has proven experience and is reliable which is just what we need right now."
