Blades Land Midlands Outfit In Round 4

08 January 2012 17:58
Sheffield United have drawn either Birmingham City or Wolverhampton Wanderers at Bramall Lane in the Fourth round of the FA Cup.

The Blades overcame non-league minnows Salisbury City (3-1) at the Lane in round three after victories over Oxford United (3-0) and Torquay United (3-2) in earlier rounds - all played at Bramall Lane.

In today's FA Cup action; Manchester United took a three-nil lead at Manchester City - who had Vincent Kompany sent-off early doors. However City hit back with two second half replies but was unable to find at crucial third. Again the Red Devils will take centre stage in the cup as they draw rivals Liverpool at Anfield.

Sunderland overcame Peterborough United (2-0) at London Road whilst Chelsea had no problems seeing off Portsmouth (4-0) at the Bridge. Our Steel City rivals Sheffield Wednesday beat West Ham United 1-0 with a late 88th minute goal from Chris O'Grady and will travel to Blackpool in round four.
