Sheffield United have completed the free signing of former Leicester City, Burnley and Tranmere Rovers keeper Danny Coyne and is likely to start today against Stevenage.

Coyne, 39 has played in the Football League for a number of clubs - including; Tranmere Rovers (twice), Grimsby Town, Leicester City, Burnley and most recently Middlesbrough until the North East side allowed him to leave the Riverside this summer. He had been training with United due to the injury sustained to Mark Howard but due to financial difficulties surrounding the 'fair play' system the Blades have been unable to sign him until yesterday.

Despite George Long picking up L1 Player of the Month it is expected that Coyne will be installed as number one against today's opponents Stevenage.
