Blades block Walker's England hopes

Walker, a regular in the England Under-19s squad last season, was expected to be included in Brian Eastick's U20s party for the tournament which starts on September 24 in Egypt. But the Blades do not have to release the player and manager Kevin Blackwell wants to keep him at Bramall Lane. The 19-year-old made an immediate impression when making his first-team breakthrough with the Blades last season and was snapped up in the summer by Tottenham, who also signed Kyle Naughton in an £8million double deal which allowed Walker to return to Bramall Lane on a season-long loan.
