Irish left-back Geary, whose future was in doubt last season when a series of operations to rebuild his knee restricted him to just three games, was a replacement for Matt Kilgallon just before half-time.[LNB]Blackwell said: "The biggest praise I can give is to Derek Geary. Knee rebuilt and has only done two weeks training and I've had to put him in and he's given me everything he's got. I'm very proud of him.[LNB]"Nobody thought Derek was going to play again to be honest with you after his fourth major knee injury. He's had the same operation as Freddie Flintoff and believe me that's a big job.[LNB]"To come back and play at that level, I know he was shattered at the end, that was understandable but he went into action and did everything and more we could have asked of him.[LNB]"When Killa had to come off we said to Del 'it's now or never' because of the situation and he's pulled it off."[LNB][LNB]
