Blackwell proud of Blades campaign

The Blades will secure automatic promotion if they beat former manager Neil Warnock's Crystal Palace and Birmingham fail to win their last match at Reading, who could also go straight up if they win and other results go their way. Blackwell said: "I'm extremely proud that we're in the running for automatic promotion right at the death. It seems an eternity since pre-season when we all got together and agreed what we wanted to achieve over the next nine months. "By and large we have reached where we want to be in the division at various parts of the season and even when James Beattie left we still believed we had a good enough squad and that we could keep picking up points. "We recognised that we needed to win games at Christmas and Easter and we put a lot on the board at the right time. It has all come down to this weekend and the two games at the top will provide a terrific spectacle."
