Blackwell: No unrest on Ward front

11 January 2010 03:46
The 23-year-old, who has secured a regular place in Blackwell's starting line-up since being snapped up from Chesterfield in a £333,000 deal in the last January transfer window, was reported to be seeking new contract talks.

But Blades boss Blackwell said: "I've had an amicable chat with Wardy and his agent and I think we all understand that I will talk to Jamie in future when the time is right, rather than his agent talk to the press.

"He's only been here a year and played just over 30 games, so he's still developing.

"There isn't any unrest and he's contracted to us until 2012, so he's going nowhere."
