Blackwell hails Blades strikers

The Blades risked the wrath of their fans when offloading the popular Beattie to Stoke in January for £3.5million, but Blackwell, who drafted in striker Jamie Ward from Chesterfield soon after, has seen his side lose only twice in the following 12 league matches.[LNB]Blackwell told Sky Sports: "A lot of people thought it was a big mistake. We were desperately sorry to lose Beatts, he was massive for us, a real talisman and a terrific goalscorer.[LNB]"He's gone back to the Premier League and he's still scoring goals. We knew he would, but the lads have responded magnificently.[LNB]"We already had Darius Henderson, who is a quality striker and Jamie Ward stepped up from Chesterfield, there's Billy Sharp as well, all the lads have been terrific and we've shared the goals out more equally than maybe was the case when Beatts was here."[LNB][LNB]
