Blackwell bemoans Blades problems

The Blades, debilitated by injuries to key players throughout the season, went down 3-0 at Watford in midweek, with Blackwell once again forced to mix and match after losing more personnel at the last minute.

Blackwell said: "On Monday I was expecting to field a back four of (Kyle) Walker, (Chris) Morgan, (Nyron) Nosworthy and (Toni) Kallio and I was happy with that because we know all about their qualities.

"But then Walker was recalled (by Tottenham) at the last minute, Kallio's paperwork wasn't processed in time for him to be eligible and then 'Morgs' gets injured - it all blew up in our faces in about six hours.

"Our back four was changed completely overnight and we couldn't get a platform to be built on.

"It's tough at the moment and this is the most frustrating period of my managerial career but we have to take it, roll our sleeves up and work harder."
