Batth determined to take "great opportunity"
Sheffield United's latest loan signing Danny Batth is relishing the chance of winning regular first-team football at Bramall Lane.
Batth, 20, joined the Blades from Wolves until January 3 just before last Thursday's loan signing deadline and went straight into the squad for Saturday's defeat at Bristol City.
The central defender said: "I only joined up with the lads on Friday for the last training session and then it was off down to Bristol in the afternoon, but I was just as disappointed at how things went as everyone else.
"It's a great opportunity for me to be involved at first-team level and possibly get some games.
"I'm a big lad and compete, but like to think that I can play a bit as well."
Meanwhile, skipper and centre-half Chris Morgan has been ruled out for the rest of the season following knee surgery and Batth has been drafted in as cover for Kyle Bartley and Nyron Nosworthy.
