Sevilla have condemned Monday night's violence allegedly involving their supporters and fans of Juventus and say they are working with police to determine if any of the Andalusian club's members were involved in the trouble.

According to media reports, at least three people were injured following a fight in the city centre of Seville at around 11pm local time on Monday.

The incident was said to have involved supporters of Sevilla and Juventus, who face each other in the Champions League on Tuesday night, and the high-flying LaLiga club have issued a statement denouncing the trouble.

They said: "Following reports in the media, Sevilla want to show their emphatic revulsion and condemnation of the shameful incidents on Monday night involving alleged Sevilla fans taking part in a serious fight with the supporters of Juventus in the Avenida Reyes Catolicos, and at the same time make themselves available to the police authorities to help with anything that might be needed to determine the facts.

"The club want to make clear that these alleged Sevilla fans in no way represent the club's values of tolerance and respect."

Sevilla, who have won the last three Europa Leagues, also say they have asked the authorities to pass on any relevant information so they can take action if any of the guilty parties is a member of the club.

The statement added: "Sevilla have worked with the maximum effort to gain a place among the greats of Europe and cannot allow incidents such as these to tarnish the image of a club that is more than 125 years old and which is currently experiencing one of the brightest moments in its long history."
