Palop extends Sevilla stay

Veteran Sevilla goalkeeper Andres Palop has extended his stay after penning a new contract that will keep him in Andalusia until the summer of 2013.

The 36-year-old joined the club in 2005 from La Liga rivals Valencia and he has been part of a successful squad that has won two UEFA Cups and two Copa del Reys.

Speaking to SFC Radio, he said: "I am very happy.

"I have always tried to do my best and I have no complaints because both the club and I have been winners."
