Maresca delight at new deal

Sevilla midfielder Enzo Maresca has spoken of his relief after finally pledging his long-term future to the club with a new contract.

The 28-year-old Italian penned a new three-year deal with the Andalucian club earlier in the week before revealing that negotiations had been ongoing since the tail end of the last campaign.

"I am very happy because it is what I have wanted for a long time," he told the club's official website.

"I had a clear idea about my future at the end of last season and in April, I finally met with the president and the sports director.

"In Sevilla, I have found a city and a club that I adore and that has been the fundamental reason."
