Sevilla head coach Manolo Jimenez has dismissed rumours linking midfielder Diego Perotti with a possible move to Arsenal in the January transfer window.

The 21-year-old Argentina has also been linked with interest from Real Madrid, but Jimenez is not expecting a deal to be done.

He said: "It's not worrying, the player is training as normal and he is only thinking of Sevilla at the moment.

"That said, what will be, will be. You can't control these external factors."

Meanwhile, Sevilla's star striker Luis Fabiano is set to be out until Christmas due to an ankle injury sustained in the 1-1 weekend draw with Real Valladolid.

The Brazil international confirmed: "I am disappointed of course. I got this small injury, so I cannot help my team-mates for the next couple of weeks.

"It is frustrating to watch games instead of settling them, but I will be back soon."
