Jimenez cautious despite win

Sevilla coach Manolo Jimenez is refusing to accept that his side have already won through to the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey even after they gained a shock 2-1 victory in the first leg of their last-16 clash against Barcelona at the Nou Camp.

Sevilla now only need to avoid defeat in next week's second leg to progress to the last eight of the competition.

However, a cautious Jimenez said: "We've got through the first round, but another one remains.

"We're playing against the best team in the world and, although things are now better than they were before the start, nothing is decided.

"Right now the tie is tilted in our favour, but against Barcelona you can never relax because they have so much quality.

"Barcelona will be incapable of maintaining the same high tempo in all three competitions, they will have to utilise many players, but aside from Thiago, the team they put out against us was full of well-known players.

"The unfortunate thing is not being able to leave out players to give them a break and not being able to count on players through injury."
