Fabiano points to Sevilla stay

Sevilla's Brazil international striker Luis Fabiano has stated that he would like to stay with his current club next season, having been heavily linked with both AC Milan and Manchester City.

The 29-year-old was previously reported to have made it known that he wanted to move on, but the South American now insists that he has never asked to leave.

He told Tuttomercatoweb.com: "There will be time to think about everything. The Sevilla president knows my desires.

"I spoke with him and the sporting director and told them I would like to stay at Sevilla.

"I know there has been talk about me wanting to play for another club, but I told the president that this was not true. I never said anything like this."
