Del Nido confident over Capel

Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido is confident that winger Diego Capel will not leave the club for either Barcelona or Real Madrid this summer.

The 20-year-old was the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur in the last couple of months, but Del Nido is determined to keep hold of one of his club's rising stars.

He told the club's official website: "The two big clubs (Barcelona and Real Madrid) have an agreement with Sevilla that no player will be released from their contract without our consent, not Diego Capel nor any other player.

"If clauses aren't valid in international football and if in domestic football the two clubs who can pay the clauses won't do it, then it's to be understood that there won't be any departures.

"It's speculation and at this late date it now means any departure is impossible, unless one of the big clubs goes against their word, which they won't."
