Bojinov in Sevilla admission

Former Manchester City striker Valeri Bojinov has admitted he turned down the opportunity to join Sevilla before he sealed a deal with Italian outfit Parma.

The Bulgarian was on loan with Parma last season and, despite the lure of Champions League football with the Spanish side, he has opted to continue in Serie A.

Speaking to reporters, he said: "It always looks tempting to play in the Champions League and Sevilla said they're searching for Luis Fabiano's replacement.

"But at this stage I'm really happy to be a Parma player and in two or three years I could play in the Champions League too."
