Serbia & Montenegro full-back Goran Gavrancic believes reaching the semi-finals of the World Cup is a realistic target.
The Plavi have been drawn in a group with Argentina, the Netherlands and Ivory Coast, but Gavrancic is confident their outstanding defence will prove to be a match for any forward line at Germany 2006.
"We are in the toughest group and the basic goal is to get through it," said the Dynamo Kyiv star.
"But if we can do that and put two of our rivals on an early flight home, we will be very confident that even a semi-final berth is realistic.
"We will play our hearts out for the fans and the country, we will be a tough nut to crack and that's all I can promise."
Serbia & Montenegro conceded just one goal in 10 games on their way to the World Cup finals and topped their qualifying group ahead of Spain.
