Serbia's national coach Petrovic quits

Serbia's national squad coach Vladimir Petrovic quit his post in agreement with the country's football federation on Friday after the team failed to qualify for Euro 2021, Tanjug news agency reported.

"We have not qualified (for Euro 2012) and responsible people as we are, we have analysed the situation and agreed to end my contract," Tanjug quoted Petrovic as saying.

On Wednesday, Serbia's captain, midfielder Dejan Stankovic said he was retiring from playing for the national side at the age of 33.
