Woolford itching to Iron out return

Published: 11 Mar 2010 - 11:28:04

United's last run-out came in the 2-1 reverse against Coventry last month and Woolford says he has been using the time to work on his direct attacking play. The winger now wants to take his positive approach into Saturday's crucial encounter with Ipswich as his side look to ease their relegation worries with what could prove to be a vital win over their fellow strugglers at Portman road. The 24-year-old, who played in the reserves' 5-0 loss at Leicester, told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "I've been working on things I feel I need to work on. I want to get back to running at players again. "The break has given me a chance down at Leicester to get out on the pitch in some big open spaces and run with the ball a bit. "With the weather being how it has been for so long we've had to train inside a lot, so it has been good to be out on some grass and get some running going again."
