Winning feeling for Byrne

Captain Cliff Byrne has spoken of a 'winning mentality' at Scunthorpe United as the club look to continue their charge up the League One table.

The Iron have won four games on the trot and Byrne believes that having a long unbeaten spell at this stage of the season could be the key to promotion.

"When you have that winning feeling and winning mentality you just want the games to keep coming," he told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.

"This is a key part of the season and if you can put a run together it keeps you right in the hunt and puts pressure on teams around us.

"A couple of weeks ago people were beginning to get a bit anxious but the table makes nice reading at the moment."
