Scunthorpe United have decided not to appeal against Matthew Sparrow's red card in Saturday's draw with Southampton.
Immediately after the match Iron boss Nigel Adkins insisted he would be asking the Football Association to look again at the incident, but has now made a U-turn.
Sparrow will now serve an automatic three-match ban after being red-carded in the 54th minute for his challenge on Saints defender Wayne Thomas.
Adkins decided, after viewing a video of the incident, that it was not worth the risk of the ban being extended from three matches to four.
