Norwich launch 5million Hooper bid

Norwich have tested Celtics resolve with a £5million bid for Gary Hooper, according to reports.

Canaries' manager Chris Hughton was at Fir Park to see Hooper net his 18th goal of the season against Motherwell last week.

It is understood that he has made Hooper his top signing target, with an official offer believed to have been made to Celts yesterday.

Hooper has netted 69 goals since his £2.4m switch from Glanford Park in 2010. 

A January move would be beneficial for the Iron, who have a weighty sell on clause on the former Southend man.
