Scunthorpe United boss Brian Laws believes that new signings Daniel McBreen and Ian Morris will prove to be valuable additions to the Iron squad.

The duo made their debuts in the 2-0 win at Gillingham, with former Falkirk striker McBreen and ex-Leeds United forward Morris both showing up well at Priestfield.

Laws told the club's official website: "I thought both players did very well and worked extremely hard.

"Daniel has not had a pre-season because he was brave in holding out to find an English club, but he looked good and will get better as he gets his match fitness back.

"Ian is good on the ball and uses it well and also works very hard."
