Mirfin misses out

Scunthorpe defender David Mirfin misses the trip to rivals Hull after being ruled out for between four and six weeks through injury.The 25-year-old was substituted at half-time in last Saturday's 4-1 home defeat to Leeds with a foot problem.A scan on Wednesday confirmed the centre-back has suffered a two centimetre tear to the tendon at the bottom of a foot and will be out for the rest of the month at least.Centre-back Rob Jones also looks set to miss Saturday's Humber derby, with his broken hand still in plaster, so Niall Canavan and Michael Raynes will be the Iron's centre-back pairing at the KC Stadium.On-loan Burnley midfielder Kevin McDonald is available again after a back injury and goalkeeper Joe Murphy is bidding to shake off a groin problem that has sidelined him for the past two games.
