McBreen leaves on loan

Scunthorpe United manager Nigel Adkins has allowed Australian striker Daniel McBreen to join Blue Square Premier League side York City on a one-month emergency loan, with the option of a possible extension.

The 30-year-old Australian forward has struggled with injuries since his move from Falkirk last summer and has made only ten appearances for the Iron.

The Minstermen's managing director Jason McGill said: "I'd like to thank Scunthorpe chairman Steve Wharton for the great support Scunthorpe have shown towards York City.

"We're very grateful to them for their help and co-operation in facilitating the loan of Daniel McBreen."
