Scunthorpe United have signed striker Ben May from League One side Millwall for an undisclosed fee.

May, 23, who had been on loan at Glanford Park earlier in the season, making five substitute appearances before returning to the New Den, has signed a two-and-a-half year deal.

The former Brentford loanee has left the London club after eight years having never really been a first-team regular.

He has been out for much of the season with an ankle injury and has only just returned to first-team action, scoring a goal in his last game for the Lions in the win against Walsall in the FA Cup on Tuesday.
